Merchants have a variety of features at their disposal, their basic device being customized hardware: a smartphone with the merchant app that allows the same merchant’s operators present at the point of sale (kiosk) to verify the tickets of the participants and download the corresponding value of the products or services they provide.
Of course, each merchant may have one or more outlets located in the region of the event at his or her disposal.
The merchant’s smartphone can recognize the QRcode or RFID device and obtain the information he or she needs for the sale such as the amount of credits on the ticket, validity of the ticket, possibility of access to other events.
Again through the app on the smartphone, the merchant operator creates the order with the product menu and proceeds to confirm it, effectively discharging the ticket credit of the value of the products dispensed.
The merchant can also check the sales list in real time or receive a daily report via email, or even access the platform via the web and see all the data related to his or her business.
The merchant also has live marketing tools at his disposal: he can also conduct promotional operations, within the limits of what has been agreed with the organizer who will have set up the platform accordingly, for example, by putting certain products on discount for a limited period of time or creating coupons for the facilitated purchase of multiple products, and communicate these initiatives to users via push notifications on participants’ apps.
The organizer, through the platform has a way to view in real time all data related to the activity of merchants both in a synthetic and granular way. This means that he or she can view each individual act of sale with details of the products sold/erogated as well as summary pictures of the sales of all merchants or all products, again in real time. Or even other technical information such as knowing whether a merchant’s kiosk is in an active sales status or whether it is closed and therefore the sale is not active.
In the setup phase, with the possibility of modification in real time during the event, the organizer or whoever has sufficient privileges on the MECCANISMS® platform, can manage all the personnel and resources of the operator engaged during the event, creating and modifying the list of operators with their master data and access privileges, points of sale, menus and product categories.
Complementing these management features is a communication system with all smartphone devices in the hands of merchant operators to enable timely and continuous communication to address any needs or critical issues in service or product delivery. A typical case is procurement due to out of stock.
