The Google Cloud Summit was designed as a sharing and learning platform focused on innovation, digital transformation and the use of artificial intelligence in the business landscape. The conference offered participants an unprecedented opportunity to explore the latest technology trends and to learn more about the advanced solutions offered by Google Cloud.
A key success factor of the event was the implementation of the cloud-based software platform called Meccanismi, which revolutionized logistics management and the participant experience. Meccanismi has introduced an advanced system of access control, ensuring a smooth and highly secure accreditation process.
The entire flow of the event was orchestrated through Meccanismi: upon arrival, each participant picked up his or her accreditation at the accreditation desk, where a team of hostesses and stewards, specially trained by the event organizer, handed out name badges equipped with a chip containing the user’s registration information. The chip embedded in the badges allowed for a efficient management and in real time of access. At the main gate, attendees had their badges scanned, allowing accurate tracking of who picked up their accreditation and entered the event.
Upon reaching the main atrium, participants were able to direct their way to the companies’ booths, or to the area dedicated to presentations and talks.
At all times, company representatives were able to scan the badges of interested users, thus ensuring detailed tracking of booth visits and attendance at specific sessions, presentations and talks.
The Meccanismi platform, flawlessly integrated with Google’s cloud infrastructure, has demonstrated its versatility and potential in optimizing the organization of large-scale events. The event in Rome was a tangible example of how cutting-edge technology can improve the user experience and simplify the logistical management of complex events.
